Stevens Amendment


The Stevens Amendment, named after its author, U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaksa), requires that Federal financial support be clearly acknowledged by the grantee when programs or projects are funded in whole or in part with Federal grant money.  (See Public Law 101-166, section 511).

Statement of Federal Financial Support


In compliance with the Stevens Amendment, District 29 states that the Federal government has given Title I, II, IVA, IDEA Pre-School, IDEA Flow-Through, and ESSER monies to the District to support its school programs.  Staff development opportunities, resource purchases and personnel have been funded in whole or in part with Federal entitlement dollars.
