Ava and Will's Update

We do timelines for people. We did Vivian's this week. We wrote pictures about her timeline. We have been counting coins. We have learned about penny, nickel, and dime. We are learning about tens, hundreds, and ones. We do packets in literacy at station 4. We are practicing short and long e this week.

Matt's Update

In gym we have been running and getting tokens. We have also been playing hockey. In music are playing Tic-Crack-Toe. In art we made polar bears.

Abbey's Update

We did math. In math we learned how to measure. We did an art project where we had to draw our face and make a resolution. We made a family tree with all of our family if we wanted we could do not the WHOLE family. At music we learned about sharps.

Emily's Update

We learned about what a cast is. It is a bunch of characters in play. We are talking about twin letters. They can't be at the end. A twin letter is when two letters go together like ee and tt. We are learning about 3D shapes on our calendar, like cylinder, rectangular prism, sphere, and cube. We have been learning about measuring and not to put them on top or to leave spaces.

Vivian's Update

We have been learning about silent Es. The make the a say A. On Fridays we have long PE. We can jump rope. We have been learning new snap words. Snap words are words that you know in a snap. We have been reading big books. We read one about Martin Luther King Jr. We learned about what his dream was. We have been looking for rhymes in our poems.

Charlotte's Update

We learned about science. We learned that if you put a solid into water it can dissolve and then evaporate. The silent e makes the a say A and other vowels too. It can make the e be silent. I am writing a teaching book about Dalmatians and one about sharks.

We learned about teaching books. Teaching books are something you know 5 things about. You write it down in a book. We had gym everyday. Today in gym we played Dr. Dodgeball.

Melinda's Update

We have been talking about blends. A blend is 2 letters that make one sound. We are writing small moments stories. A small moment story is not a big thing, it is about a small thing.

Everett's Update

We got mealworms. Vivian's shed the exoskeleton. Vivian's was the only one that shed the exoskeleton. We learned they have 6 legs and instead of a body they have a head, a thorax, and an abdomen. This week on Wednesday we had phonics. We studied words and wrote them on white boards. We had had music. We played the poison pattern game.
